Too many options???  So I understand how confusing choosing the right keypad can be! Especially since you have so many button layout options & 26 color options to choose from.

But the dilema boils down to this - Keep in mind that there are just two RadioRA®2 keypads to choose from.

The Hybrid keypad must control a lighting circuit - a load. If the bulb is burnt out - the Hybrid Keypad will not work. The neutral connection is optional but it will allow you to control lower wattage loads. A side note is that Hybrids really do not play with with LED lights. So try and keep Halogen or Incandescent loads on these instead. 

And  the In Wall keypad - which requires just a hot and a neutral. It does not require a load and it can be used in place of a companion. 

So you can have a Hybrid Keypad at one end of a circuit and an in wall at the other end as long as there is a neutral connection in the wallbox. Just tie the traveler/3 way wire together so the circuit is completed.
